Given, Potential energy, U = Ax^4 J
A = 1.2 J/m^4
x = 0.8 m
U = 1.2 * (0.8)^4 = 1.2 * 0.4096 = 0.49152 J
Let the applied force be F then,
F = dU/dx = d(Ax^4)/dx = 4Ax^3 = 4*1.2*0.512 = 2.4576 N
